Sex education of adolescents in Ghana
Ashamatey, Felicia Natacha
The study of sexuality education in Ghana's public schools is the main topic of the Diploma Thesis. A system of medical and educational techniques called comprehensive sexuality education helps people learn a wide range of aspects of human sexuality. The research materials were obtained during August and September 2022, when students had extended breaks. All 109 participants' responses were analysed using statistical software. The study's findings demonstrate a widespread viewpoint on the necessity of introducing more context-sensitive (81% of survey participants) received sexuality education. It places a strong emphasis on how parents and teachers shape teenagers. According to 31% of the students, the primary educational trend is toward abstinence as a means of preventing sexually transmitted illnesses. Additionally, it was shown that there is a relationship between gender and the way children are taught; women are taught about abstinence more than males, and 37% of women were unaware of any other forms of contraception save abstinence. While it is unimportant, there is no correlation between sexual awareness and religiosity. The study also reveals that the majority of respondents (98%) are assured in their decisions regarding sexuality and have strong opinions about their sexual behaviour.

Sasová, Viktorie ; Kuba, Radim (advisor) ; Šebánková, Blanka (referee)
Family represents one of the key environmental factors significantly influencing individuals. Previous studies have shown that the way a person is influenced within this environment i also determined by the role they occupy within the family. One of the related factors can be, among others, the birth order. It may play a role in shaping personality trats among siblings and influencing their life attitudes. For a better understanding of the effects of birth order, this work first addresses the differences between siblings from an evolutionary and ecological perspective, identifies the main factors influencing the birth order effect, and describes the tge characteristics of each specific birth order type. The work provides insights into the issue of birth order's influence, with particular focus on middle-born children, in relation to their personality, sexual behavior, and psychological specificities of middleborns. Research has shown that birth order has a significant effect on middle-born children, particularly in the areas of prosocial behavior, sexual strategy, and manifestations of self- harming or suicidal behavior. However, there is a relatively limited number of atudies specifically addressing the influence of birth order on middlborns. Additionally, many of these studies were published...

Social determinants of knowledge of HPV infection and cancer risk
Stuchlíková, Tereza ; Kulhánová, Ivana (advisor) ; Hejtmánková, Alžběta (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and potential cancer risks that it causes. HPV is a factor of cervical cancer, one of the most common cancer cause of death in women, cervical cancer. Despite the fact that the majority of both female and male population become infected with HPV during their sexually active lives, especially before the age of 30, women are predominantly more susceptible to this infection. When young, the immune system can clear HPV within 2 years unnoticed but in the case of high-risk HPV, an innocent infection can be fatal. In recent years, the male population in particular has been increasingly affected by malignant neoplasms of the head and neck, such as oropharynx, which are caused by HPV. In recent years, HPV has ceased to be associated only with female genital cancer. However, this infection also causes penile and anal cancer in men so there is a need to better educate the population about the risks of HPV, especially the younger generation whose sexual behaviour is changing and therefore the virus in no longer only affecting genital tissue. The thesis deals with the description and epidemiology of these types of tumours and also with the social determinants that influence HPV infection. Knowledge of the risks of HPV is a...
Hormonal control of male sexual behaviour in reptiles
Schořálková, Tereza ; Kratochvíl, Lukáš (advisor) ; Landová, Eva (referee)
The most important hormone affecting typical male sexual behavior in reptiles is testosterone, but also other steroid hormones such as dihydrotestosterone, estrogens or progestins may be involved in this regulation. According to the organizational-activational hypothesis testosterone acting during early ontogenic stage has an organizational effect on adult behavior and this behavior is triggered by influence of recent levels of hormones. Moreover, it was formulated the hypothesis on temporary organization of male sexual behvior that could change existing interpretations. Reptile reproductive strategies use to be classified according to gametogenesis and steroidogenesis as associated or dissociated reproductive strategies howerever, this division is rather artificial. This review summarizes existing knowledge of the hormonal influence of sexual behavior in reptiles, and comments the most common methods.
